The SLV Chamber Breakfast Meeting meets the last Tuesday of each month. This is a great way to network in a focused setting. We each have the opportunity to introduce ourselves and talk a little about what we do. Bring your business cards, brochures, and product samples to share.

Sgt. Jim Ross and other local reps often attend the SLV Chamber Breakfast Meetings to update chamber members on safety and other issues affecting the San Lorenzo Valley.

March 29: SEO & Facebook Marketing

Eugene Trak is a founder of Webstrim Design Group, a web development and new media marketing company. He specializes in SEO (Search Engine Optimization) consulting and Social Media integration for all types of businesses, industries and organizations. In this dynamic hands-on presentation, Eugene will walk the audience over different aspects of his unique SEO method, which lands a website on the first page of Google in a reasonably short time. The end results of this SEO program will be demonstrated through live Google searches performed for several websites of his past and current clients. Peter Vokos of Santa Cruz SCORE spoke about his organization’s services. Business counseling, training, assessments, workshops, and online resources are available to help local small businesses. SCORE is a nationwide nonprofit dedicated to the formation, growth and success of small businesses and nonprofit organizations.

Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office in Felton

Sergeant Jim Ross led a presentation on Neighborhood Watch organizing. Attendees received useful information on organizing neighborhoods and business communities. Also discussed were online resources for crime prevention and reporting in the San Lorenzo Valley.

Teresa Thomae spoke about the wealth of economic development resources available to San Lorenzo Valley businesses – courses, training, consulting, libraries, online information and more designed to help people achieve success in their entrepreneurship.
