Are you a restaurant owner? Register to learn how to get federal aid!
On Thursday, April 15th I’m hosting a webinar for restaurant owners and other food and beverage establishments in our Congressional District at 10:00 a.m. The purpose of the meeting is to provide important information about the new $29 billion Restaurant Revitalization Fund (RRF) grant program established under the recently passed American Rescue Plan. I’ll be joined by Julie Clowes, Director of the Small Business Administration for Northern California, who will assist me in taking your questions. The Restaurant Revitalization Grants will provide economic relief to:
Establishment Types: restaurants, food stands, food trucks, food carts, caterers, saloons, inns, taverns, bars, lounges, brewpubs, tasting rooms, taprooms, licensed facilities or premises of a beverage alcohol producer where the public may taste, buy or sample products or any other similar establishment where people assemble for the primary purpose of being served food or drink.
Any establishment with 20 or fewer locations.
Ineligible entities include state or local government-operated entities and publicly traded companies, as well as those entities that have a pending Shuttered Venue Operators Grant (SVOG) application or have received an SVOG.
The restaurant industry has been hit especially hard by COVID. Across our country more than one in six restaurants have closed permanently and tens of thousands more have had to significantly scale down their operations. These closures have left more than 2.3 million food service industry professionals without a job, more than any other sector in our country. That’s why I’m inviting you to learn more about how your business can benefit from the RRF grant program.
