Felton Farmers Market open for the season Tuesdays 1:30pm

The Felton Farmers Market opens for the season on Tuesday, May 2 and continues weekly on Tuesdays through October 24 from 1:30 to 5:30 pm. Located in the St. John’s Church parking lot at 120 Russell Ave, Felton, this welcoming market along the downtown corridor off Highway 9 has been running for nearly 40 years. Connecting residents directly with local farms, the Felton Market is an essential part of the regional food system as well as a resource for nutritious organic foods and agricultural education.

With live music and kids play areas, the Farmers Markets are a vibrant community hub. Look for rainbows of heirloom tomatoes, Penny Ice Creamery, and the local favorite: rotisserie chicken.

The Scotts Valley Farmers Market launches on Saturday, May 6 in the parking lot of the Joe and Linda Alberti Boys & Girls Club, 5060 Scotts Valley Dr, Scotts Valley. The market is open every Saturday until Thanksgiving and features regional farms and food businesses selling fresh fruits and vegetables, meats, eggs, artisanal bread, flowers, seafood and other staple

foods, and brunch. Enjoy rotating taps and local wine, fresh coffee bar, food trucks, knife sharpening, artisanal soap, honey, vegetable starts, and more.

On opening day, both Markets invite you to indulge in a free treat of fresh strawberries and

whipped cream atop fresh baked shortbread. More info at santacruzfarmersmarket.org
