State Parks Closed March 10-12 Due to Winter Storms

Due to a forecasted severe winter storm, most state parks in Santa Cruz and San Mateo Counties will be closed from Friday, March 10 through Sunday, March 12. Parks will be assessed daily for reopening starting on Sunday, March 12.


Parks that will be closed include:

o Burleigh Murray Ranch Park Property

o Butano State Park

o Rancho del Oso Visitor Center

o Wilder Ranch State Park

o Natural Bridges State Beach

o Lighthouse Fields State Beach

o Santa Cruz Mission

o Seabright State Beach

o Twin Lakes State Beach

o New Brighton State Beach

(campground closes on Thursday, March 9)

o Seacliff State Beach

o The Forest of Nisene Marks State Park

o Manresa State Beach

(campground closes on Thursday, March 9)

o Sunset State Beach

o Palm State Beach

o Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park

o Big Basin Redwoods State Park

(closed starting Thursday, March 9)

o Portola Redwoods State Park

(closed starting Thursday, March 9)

o Castle Rock State Park

(closed starting Thursday, March 9)


Additional severe weather systems are currently predicted after this storm is over which may cause extended park closures.
